OUR MISSION

Park Ridge exists to give every student a rigorous, high-quality education — one that builds real mastery in reading, writing, math, and critical thinking, and prepares them to compete and excel at the next level. We hold our students to high standards because we believe they're capable of it, and because excellence honors the gifts God gave them. That academic pursuit is grounded in the truth of the Gospel — that Jesus Christ gave His life for our sins and offers the promise of eternal life — so that students grow into sharp thinkers and strong witnesses for Christ, in that order of daily emphasis and equal order of importance.

Setting the Standard- One Student at a time

At Park Ridge, academics come first. Our students work with a strong core curriculum in reading, writing, and math, taught by teachers who hold every child to a high standard — because we believe every child can meet it. Small class sizes mean more individual attention, more accountability, and less room to fall behind.

Academic Excellence, By Design

We set the bar high — and we help every student clear it. Our classrooms combine:

  • A strong core curriculum in reading, writing, and math, taught with rigor at every grade level.

  • Critical thinking across every subject — science, history, and literature taught to build real reasoning skills, not just memorization.

  • High expectations, real accountability — we believe students rise to the standard set for them.

  • A path forward — students leave Park Ridge genuinely prepared for college coursework and beyond.

This academic foundation is anchored in truth: every student is a unique creation with a God-given purpose, and that conviction is what fuels our push for excellence rather than working against it.

Our Legacy

A FAMILY STORY

Park Ridge Christian School was born from a family's decades-long commitment to children in this community. In 1951, our founder's mother, ( Rubye A. Still, started the Little Red Schoolhouse, a daycare built on the same care and attention to children that guides our classrooms today. Nearly 35 years ago, her daughter, Starr Wagoner, stepped away from public education to take over and foster the business both she and her mother were passionate about— and out of a conviction that children deserved a disciplined, faith-centered education, she went on to found Park Ridge Christian School.

What started as one woman's daycare has grown into three generations of investment in this community's children. That legacy still shapes how we teach today: with rigor, with discipline, and with an unwavering belief that every child deserves both a strong education and a strong foundation of faith.
